My name is Gale J. Fort, but many know me as Mrs. Gale, the VA mama, a beacon of hope stretching from Ft. Liberty all the way to Landstuhl, Germany. As a devoted mother, my heart has always been set on providing the best for my son. This same passion extends to the brave men and women of the United States Military Forces.

 

For me, this isn't just a duty; it's a mission driven by love and empathy, a calling that resonates with every fiber of my being. I feel a deep connection with the struggles and frustrations of these valiant individuals who have sacrificed so much. They often face daunting challenges, feeling like they're constantly hitting an insurmountable wall in their quest for the compensation and benefits they rightfully earned and deserve.

 

Their voices, filled with questions and uncertainties, haunt me: "Where do I even begin? How can I prove that these conditions arose during my active-duty service? My records are lost, and the VA can't find them!" The disappointment in their voices when they receive incomplete correspondence, or the confusion and fear stemming from unfavorable or dishonorable discharges, weigh heavily on my heart.

 

Driven by a profound desire to make a difference, I created "Benefits Beyond the VA Wall." This initiative is more than just a program to me; it's a lifeline, a guiding light for those lost in the bureaucratic maze. It's my way of helping them climb over the metaphorical wall that stands between them and the benefits they've earned with their blood, sweat, and tears.
